Despite the losses, the new BlackBerry CEO, John Chen, conveyed a positive message and said that next year the results of the company will improve.
“With the operational and organizational changes we have announced, BlackBerry has set a clear roadmap that will allow us to return to the goal of better financial performance next year,” Chen said in a statement.

said that 40% of its revenue in the third quarter of the year comes from phone sales, 53% service charge and 7% software and other revenue.
The company also said it has 3,200 million in cash, cash equivalents and investments in the short and long term.
Chen said that “the company is financially strong, has a portfolio of comprehensive, reliable products, talented employees and a new leadership team dedicated to implementing our new roadmap.”
BlackBerry also announced it has entered into a “strategic partnership” with five Taiwanese manufacturer Foxconn, the world’s largest manufacturer of electronic products, to develop and produce new phones.
