Blackberry picks up after 15 months of decline - RedUSERS

in May the company closed the quarter with 7.7 million units sold. A key factor in this recovery has been the success of new models, including the Q10.

Apparently it’s time to recovery Blackberry . The company is having a rebound after five quarters of decline. The period ended in May would have reached 7.7 million of units sold, which would exceed 6 million in the previous period.

Much of this recovery is due to the new models that the company has launched. Although the Z10 , model based on the touchscreen interface, had a mixed reception among consumers, the Q10 , with a physical keyboard, offered an excellent choice for fans and users traditional.

Maynard Um , an analyst at Wells Fargo & Co., said that the 76 million BlackBerry subscribers loyal to the keyboard represent a great opportunity. Blackberry would also have to use the time between the departure of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the launch of the next iPhone to retrieve multiple consumers.

Meanwhile, Andy Perkins , an analyst at Societe Generale SA, said that new Blackberry devices are successfully competing against a lot of recently released smartphones . At their current performance, Perkins has changed its recommendation for the shares of the company sale purchase.

During 2013 the shares have risen 16% and have doubled since the tragic September outage of 2012. At the time the incident coincided with the launch of the new iPhone, and was actually the culminating moment of a series of mistakes that included delays in launches and marketing problems.

Blackberry shipments during this quarter should decline to reach about 7.4 million units . This movement is linked to a drop in sales of older models. The next quarter can be difficult for the company. Blackberry currently has a 2.9% market share, a significant drop from 6.4% the previous year .
