The suite is designed to make it impossible to transfer information between elements of Secure Work Space and the rest of the device, so that no corporate data leakage. It also includes access to the BES server encrypted communications ensuring although the Internet connection itself is not.
The biggest advantage for companies that decide to use this module (and also for individuals) is that it allows IT departments to remotely manage all elements of Secure Work Space without affecting personal data or applications contained in the devices.
“With an integrated management console, customers can now view all the devices you have in your network, manage and connect securely,” said David Smith, head of enterprise mobility BlackBerry , for Reuters. “We now have a protected workspace Android and iOS that allows our customers securing and managing the data on these devices as well.”
With this news and the arrival of BlackBerry Messenger to mobile platforms from Apple and Google this week, it is clear that the strategy of BlackBerry go through to make their services available to the largest number of users possible, wherever they come from, not looking to your own navel.
