This year was definitely one of the worst for the company BlackBerrry technology. The Canadian firm was not only extremely low sales for their new phones with the BB10 platform and disastrous numbers during the last quarter of the year, but also suffered a series of layoffs that included up to its former CEO, Thorsten Heins.
Now, just days before the start of a new year and a new phase of the company, has revealed that the company already has a change of strategy and less ambitious plans for this 2014.
According to The average Wall Street Journal, the new CEO John Chen has not only decided to cancel production team midrange but also not to make its renowned conference Live.
This celebration, classic for the company since 2002, will no longer be part of their tradition next year, especially with the aim of giving more emphasis to small events with local developers.
As for the phones, the company will slow the creation of mobile hitherto known as Coffee and Kopi, low end and that within its main features were expected to count a 400 Snapdragon processor, a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard design.
