BlackBerry (Dusseldorf: RI1.DU – News) launched on Friday its instant messaging service for iPhone and iPod Touch. In addition, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is compatible with these devices without having mobile network connection.
BBM has come to iPad and iPod Touch as an update for iPhone and several enhanced features for terminals supporting iOS iOS 6 or 7. Thus, the refurbished BlackBerry messaging service has more options for sharing the barcode from BBM PIN and improved platform languages. It has also incorporated a simple search form to find BBM contacts in social networks.
On the other hand, for models of devices that have no possibility of having mobile data connection, BBM for iPhone and iPod Touch also works on WiFi networks.
With this update, it will be seen whether BlackBerry increases the number of users of BBM and also have to wait to see the reaction of the most popular instant messaging or Facebook iOS WhastApp Messeneger.
