The change in approach was hard to ignore the Blackberry annual conference held in Florida last week, even though the ads on a new advanced phone model and the company plans offer the popular instant messaging service BlackBerry Messaging (BBM) to other platforms.

The company, whose offer BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) enabled long customers to manage BlackBerry devices within government and corporate networks, is now extending this feature to allow customers to manage devices not the Blackberry brand.

“The announcement is made more fascinating than its strategy of offering a secure infrastructure across devices and secure devices with iOS and Android operating systems in addition to BlackBerry devices,” said Yaacov Cohen, head of Harmon.ie, a company that gives users access to corporate collaboration tools like IBM Connections and Microsoft Office 365 through a series of operating systems.

Although the decision had been anticipated for some time, the official launch of BES 10.1 paves the way for enterprise customers to initiate the updates in the second half of the year, a development that could also boost sales the new line of smartphones Blackberry Company 10.

Because sending information through proprietary networks and open channels, BlackBerry has been known for a long time between government agencies and corporations for its strong security features. Its new and unique solution called the attention of these customers even though rivals such as Apple and Samsung Electronics seek to dominate the sector.

“I see BlackBerry as a provider of infrastructure for mobile computing,” said Cohen.

“When things look from this angle, given the enormous need for a secure infrastructure, then the position of BlackBerry may be one of leadership overall, similar to what Microsoft did for the change to personal computing, “he said.

During the conference ‘BlackBerry Live’ in Florida, the company also outlined a bold vision for the operating system BlackBerry 10 operating its new line of devices.

“BlackBerry comprising (a mobile communications industry) better than anyone.’s in our DNA,” said its CEO Thorsten Heins to some 5,000 delegates.

“We live and breathe the mobile communications industry and BlackBerry 10 is built as a platform for the sector.’re committed to making BlackBerry 10 mobile platform that will bring the industry into a new era of mobile computing, “he said.
