Through ‘Scholars Program’ (scholarship program), BlackBerry wants to inspire women around the world to form and act as professionals in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
This initiative will offer ten scholarships full four-year university. The benefit will be awarded to the most outstanding candidates in the world who want to make a career in the areas mentioned, in colleges or universities accredited in their country.
Alicia Keys, BlackBerry Global Creative Director, said that “women do not have enough presence in the fields of science and technology, and we firmly believe that it is time to bring about change.”
